 Until 1994 when she moved to California, Cynthia David worked and lived on the East Coast in Connecticut and New York. After receiving her MA in Classics, she taught on the college and private secondary school levels for 14 years. During this time, she served on several boards of trustees, merger committees, headmaster search committees, and honor system study committees where her leadership and problem solving skills were in high demand.
Following her career in education, Cynthia entered the field of commercial real estate as a salesperson with Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut. There she developed her sales and analytical abilities as well as a capacity to partner with corporations to achieve bottom-line results. Cynthia specialized in investment grade real estate sales. She was named the "Most Promising Salesperson" in the Tri-State Region (NY-CT-NJ) in 1987. In 1990, she was named "Top Salesperson" in the Hartford office.
Cynthia is a published author and a member of the American Society for Training and Development - ASTD (Orange County Chapter), ASTD (Southern CT Chapter),The National Human Resources Association (NHRA - Orange County Chapter),
The Society For Human Resources Management (SHRM) -So. CT, Child & Family Auxiliary (Essex, CT Chapter), the South Eastern Connecticut Council of Foreign Relations, Literacy Volunteers-Valley Shore and the Lyme Art Association. She is a candidate for the Competent Toastmaster award (CTM) from Toastmasters International.
Cynthia has a BA from the College of New Rochelle and an MA in Classics from Fordham University where she was honored with a full academic scholarship.
In 2003, Cynthia moved back to Connecticut to return to family. She has successfully grown the Connecticut market while continuing to be a major force in California for training and consulting referrals. |
